ITINERARY FOR RUGBY TOUR SOUTH AFRICA
FRIDAY 24 MARCH
17:15 hrs
Assemble at LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT, Terminal 1, where a representative from Edwin Doran Sports Travel will assist with check in to South African Airways flight SA221.
20:15 hrs
Flight departs for CAPE TOWN.
Overnight in flight.
SATURDAY 25 MARCH
09:50 hrs
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport where you will clear South African Immigration, collect your luggage and pass through Customs. A representative from Edwin Doran Sports Travel will escort you to your coach for the short transfer in to central Cape Town.
Please note that your coach will be available for 10 hours each day, normally from 08:00 to 18:00 hrs. Any variation to this will be shown in the itinerary. If you are likely to want additional transportation outside these times, please liaise with your driver at least 24 hours in advance. Estimated cost for 4 hour evening hire, for example if you wish to go out for dinner, is R800.00 (approximately £67.00).
Morning Suggested sightseeing: Table Mountain (price included).
Later in the afternoon, check in to your hotel where you will be based for four nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

SUNDAY 26 MARCH
Morning Suggested sightseeing: Newlands Stadiums tour.
Afternoon Transfer to STELLENBOSCH, where you may like to tour the Spier Winery.
Evening Enjoy a buffet meal at Moyo at Spier (price included).
MONDAY 27 MARCH
10:00 hrs Arrive at Harlem Street in the LANGA TOWNSHIP for an escorted tour.
12:00 hrs Enjoy an early lunch at Sheila’s Café in the township.
13:30 hrs Depart Langa and transfer to BELLVILLE.
14:00 hrs Arrive at SETTLERS HIGH SCHOOL to play your first match on tour.
15:00 hrs SETTLERS HIGH SCHOOL v STANBRIDGE EARLS SCHOOL
Enjoy the post-match hospitality of your hosts.
18:00 hrs Return to your hotel.
TUESDAY 28 MARCH
09:00 hrs An Option to; Board your coach for a day excursion around the CAPE PENINSULA including a boat trip to see the seals at Duiker Island (R40.00 per person), trip to Boulder’s Beach penguin colony (R20.00 per person),
Chapman's Peak and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (R25.00 per person).
17:00 hrs Return to your hotel.
WEDNESDAY 29 MARCH
Morning Check out of your hotel.
Suggested sightseeing: Two Oceans Aquarium.
1400hrs Arrive in VILLIERSDORP for your next match.
1500 hrs DE VILLIERS GRAAF v STANBRIDGE EARLS SCHOOL
Enjoy the post-match hospitality of your opponents.
Continue to HERMANUS and check in to your hotel where you will stay for the next two nights on a bed and breakfast
basis.

THURSDAY 30 MARCH
0730hrs Transfer to GAANSBAI to go Shark Cage Diving (price included).
0800hrs Arrive at Marine Dynamics Tours where you will have breakfast in the Great White House.
0900hrs Launch of Shark Fever and Whale Whisperer.
Throughout the morning you will also get a chance to see the sharks at the surface as well as being able to go shark cage diving.
Please note that all the necessary equipment will be supplied.
1400hrs Arrive back on land for lunch at Marine Dynamics.
1530hrs After lunch transfer back to Hermanus.
FRIDAY 31 MARCH
Morning After breakfast, check out your hotel and transfer to WILDERNESS.
On arrival you will check in to your hotel where you will stay for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Full Day You will visit the Cango Caves, the Cango Wildlife Ranch and an Ostrich Farm (price included).
SUNDAY 02 APRIL
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and continue on to MOSSEL BAY where you will stay for the following
six nights. Accomodation at Hartenbos.
MONDAY 03 – FRIDAY 07 APRIL
MOSSEL BAY FESTIVAL
A week of coaching and match play in both Rugby and Netball. We are among 32 South African Schools and to the best of our knowledge are the first overseas team to take part in this experience and celebration of sport.
A unique cross-cultural encounter!
SATURDAY 08 APRIL
15:00 hrs Transfer by coach back to CAPE TOWN.
19:00 hrs Arrive in Cape Town and check in to your hotel where you will stay on a bed and breakfast basis for the last night of your tour.

Morning Check out of your accommodation and spend the rest of the day doing any last-minute sightseeing or shopping.
15:45 hrs Transfer to CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
16:00 hrs Check in to flight SA220 to LONDON.
19:00 hrs Flight departs for London.
Overnight in flight.
MONDAY 10 APRIL
06:20 hrs On arrival at London Heathrow Airport, Terminal 1, you will need to clear UK Immigration, collect your luggage and pass through Customs and disperse for home.
