


Robert Grime is Emeritus Professor of Maritime Law at Southampton University and lives in Romsey. Educated at Manchester Grammar School and University College Oxford, he spent most of his working life at Southampton University, apart from spells as Visiting Professor in New Zealand and the United States. He specialised first in employment and labour relations law, later in maritime and shipping law. He is married with two married daughters and four grandchildren. Before joining the Council of Stanbridge Earls in 2007, he was a member, later Chairman, of the Council of St Swithun's School, Winchester. He is a National Trust volunteer, an allotment holder, a bad bird-watcher and currently Chairman of Romsey and District Society.
