School Developments

At Speech Day the Headmaster, Geoff Link and Chairman of Governors, Mr David Beeby were delighted to announce the following developments in the coming year:

In September

New Swimming Pool opened
New Sports Hall opened

A new barrier system will further improve site security and ensure that only authorised cars can gain access to the school site.

Refurbishment

Three boarding houses have been totally rebuilt and now offer quality accommodation for our year 10 boys.

The Music Cottage has been completely refitted.

A new home for the Cisco Academy has been made from store rooms in the old stable block. This will enable the new Cisco IT course to be started with our year 10 pupils.

New Boarding House

A Planning Application has been made for a new 40 bed boarding House for senior boys. This will replace the Acropolis which currently Houses our Upper sixth form boys. It is hoped that this will be ready for the start of the 2009/2010 school year.

In the Easter holiday the kitchens will be refurbished

In the Summer next year John Attlee House will be refurbished.
