Stanbridge assists girls and boys from all social backgrounds to reach their potential, but to do this the school must continue to invest in its facilities and to enhance and develop its resources for scholarships and bursaries. Your support, no matter how small, will help the school to fulfil its aims.
The school is a registered charity and we detail below ways in which you can make a donation that will make a difference.
If you want to make a single donation please complete the attached donation form. If you would like to commit to a regular schedule of giving to the School on a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis, please complete the attached standing order form. In both cases your donation could be enhanced by making the donation through the Gift Aid Scheme (see below).
As an alternative, you can donate on a regular basis through payroll giving. This is a means of making a gift directly from your salary before income tax is deducted. As a result you will automatically get tax relief at your top rate of tax, with Stanbridge receiving the gross value. For example, as a basic rate tax payer, a monthly gift of £10 to Stanbridge would effectively cost you only £8.00 (£6.00 for a higher rate tax payer). Please contact your employer’s payroll department to ascertain whether they participate in this scheme.
If you are a UK taxpayer who has to complete a Self Assessment form, you can use your tax return form to donate to Stanbridge all or part of any refund due to you. To do this, use the code X85530 when completing your Self Assessment. You can also choose to make your refund a Gift Aid donation.
If you are a UK tax payer, the Inland Revenue Gift Aid scheme, enables Stanbridge to reclaim 25p in tax for every £1 you donate and if you are a higher rate tax payer you can obtain relief for the higher rate tax on the donation via your tax return. There could be further tax advantages if you were to make a gift of an asset such as shares or land.
To make a donation through the Gift Aid Scheme, simply complete the Gift Aid declaration on the attached form (printable pdf version). You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to download. Click here to obtain Adobe Acrobat Reader.
We accept donations by cheque or by bank transfers straight into our bank account. Please contact the school if you would like to discuss a donation of a different asset.
