Welcome to Stanbridge Earls

We are a small, independent, day and boarding school for girls and boys aged 10 to 19 with Specific Learning Difficulties including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and social communication difficulties including mild Asperger’s Syndrome and some other forms of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.’  

Our Accelerated Learning Centre houses one-to-one literacy specialists for Dyslexics as well as Speech and Language therapists and English as a Second Language teachers. Occupational Therapy provides support for Dyspraxics.

Seven Maths specialists provide one-to-one support for Dyslexics and Dyscalculics in the Maths Learning Centre.

Students with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and other Specific Learning Difficulties are taught a full range of academic, practical and vocational courses from Entry Level GCSEs to Advanced Levels.

The teacher to pupil ratio is around 1 to 6, with an additional 25+ specialist trained teachers in the Learning Centres.

Objectives

The object of the school is the advancement of education by the provision and conduct of a day and boarding school for boys and girls and by the ancillary or incidental educational activities and other associated activities for the benefit of the community.
